The Dress

This dress & overskirt come from the insanely talented, Halfpenny London. The dress is the Oliver Dress and the skirt is the Beale Skirt. I loved having both on my wedding day and it was the perfect two-in-one outfit. The skirt truly looked like a piece of the dress, so when I took it off for dancing, it looked like I had a whole new outfit on. Kate Halfpenny is known for the fabric she uses and it's high quality and this was evident when wearing this dress. It was so insanely comfortable, I was blown away.

I'd be willing to sell the dress & skirt separately, but ideally just as one since they are packaged together. They both were professionally treated and dry-cleaned. There are the MOST MINOR flaws and wear on the bottom of the dress - they are barely noticeable. I wouldn't have noticed if the dry cleaner didn't point them out to me. So for transparency, I wrote the condition as excellent but there are these minor flaws. They are stored in a preservation box until ready to send.

I'm a true size 6 in just about everything. I can't remember the size of the dress from Halfpenny London, but I'm happy to look and to take my measurements.

Alterations

The only alterations we did was for length. I'm 5 8 and I wore 1.5 in heels. Both the dress & the skirt have a bustle (dress bustle is on the inside layer, skirt bustle is behind a 3D appliqué along the seam). I had the skirt made differently than retailed - instead of having an open slit in the front, I made the buttons be in the back and a full 360 skirt.
