Stunning Gwendolynne ‘Sabine’ silk underlay with hand beaded tulle overlay wedding gown in approximate size 6- 8 (Australian size, it was made to measure).

It is a stunning vintage style design. The silk slip is cut on the bias and is a flattering antique ivory colour which looks amazing in wedding photos with the tulle overlay.

The dress can be ordered with a silk or satin slip, the satin is about $1000 cheaper but the silk looks and feels so much better and it breathes so don't settle for the synthetic.

The gorgeous overlay features hand beading and the detail is incredible; art-deco style beading over the entire dress, gorgeous beaded capped sleeves and an amazing brooch style clasp on the neck. The keyhole back is extremely elegant.

The Gwendolynne Sabine dress looks amazing on so many body types, but it is also one that a bride with a fuller figure can feel and look a million dollars in. The way the beading sits across the midriff minimizes a full bust, and accentuates the waist. Gwendolynne has considered and refined this design; introducing detailing on the tummy, hip and tush area…angular art deco detailing lengthen the body. This glamorous style emphasizes a girl’s best features and is delightfully comfortable too!

The other great thing about this dress is that you can replace or dye the silk slip and wear the dress again as a stunning ball gown! Red, green, purple, grey- whatever colour you want! The beading has been cleverly designed so you can cut the dress to be tea length or ankle length ball gown.

It has a beautiful silk slip and hand beaded tulle overlay. I got the underlay made to be in line with the overlay so that I could wear a bra with it as I have big boobs.

I had the seamstress add in press-studs at the back of the silk slip so that the beaded tulle doesn't hang lower than the silk slip. I also had a number of press-studs in the silk and the tulle put in to secure the bustle - they are reinforced and much more secure that the one button that comes with the dress.

The dress retails for $7,500AUD. I spent an additional $600AUD on enhancements such as adding press studs etc and $350AUD on dry cleaning.

The dress also comes with a little packet of extra beads.

Gwendolynne in Melbourne and Savvy Brides in Sydney are, to my knowledge, the only stockists and neither of them sell this dress second hand and combined with the fact it is one of, if not the most, expensive Gwendolynne dress on the market, it is a very hard dress to come by second hand!

I am about 160cm and had heels that were 8cm.

My measurements when fitted were bust 87 waist 72 height 98 seat 103. However, I lost weight before the wedding and it still fit, and I probably could have put on and it would have been fine.
