The Dress

Couture wedding dress designer Suzanne Neville's "Penny" wedding dress. Designed and manufactured in London, England.

I am based in Hertfordshire but travel the UK a bit for work (and sometimes to NZ) so I'm willing to consider enquiries from anywhere.

A structured, strapless silk Mikado gown featuring a tailored V-neck, leg split and folded pleat details. Penny by Suzanne Neville is finished with delicate silk-covered buttons and a belted waist.

- Structured bodice with plunging V-neckline
- Folded pleat detailing across the bodice and down the skirt
- Leg split feature (falls from waist so can be altered easily if you're not into this)
- Internal corset fastening

This is a brand new dress purchased from Ellie Sanderson bridal boutique (UK) in Spring 2023 (receipt is available and can be provided with the dress). It has never been altered, and only removed once from the original designer bag for inspection and one try on, so you will be purchasing in the same condition if you purchased direct from the boutique. My wedding went ahead and I had the best day, but just not in this dress.

I bought this at a size 14 UK bridal size. I am a fairly standard UK high street size 10/12, and this was the size recommended to me by the experienced boutique and a seamstress. I would have had to have alterations around the bust which I was told would be easily done. Because the top is corseted, it is adjustable. I am happy to provide more measurements/details to anyone interested.

I loved this dress because of the traditional shape but modern bodice. It held me in without feeling too tight (great on the waist without any discomfort!). Normally I wouldn't go for a strapless number but this made me feel elegant and modern.
