The Dress

As listed on Alyssa Kristin's website for the 2022 designs, the Amara gown is a "stretch crepe gown with wide-set modern sweetheart neckline, tapered straps and raised back. The gown features a fitted silhouette with a long dramatic train."

I absolutely loved this dress! I got married outside in Vail, and I wanted a dress with a delicate, simple yet timeless feel. The backdrop was stunning, and I didn't want to compete with it! I loved the stretch from the crepe fabric - it was comfortable, easy to move around and sit, and great for hot early-September weather. The dress was fitted on me but not skin-tight, and I loved the sweetheart neckline and the buttons down the back as those elements felt really feminine.

While there are a bunch of buttons, there is a hidden zipper so you don't have to fasten each one! I had a French bustle put in so I could let the train down once we reached our ceremony location to avoid any damage to the dress being outside. I have had it professionally dry-cleaned since the wedding, and it has been stored hanging in my closet in the shop dress bag.

Alterations

I had the dress taken in a bit around the bodice area, and I had a French bustle put in for the train. There are three ribbons attached underneath the backside of the dress to hold the train.
