The Dress

Paris Original is an ethereal gown from the 2021 Amy Mair Couture "Inspired By" collection. I purchased this dress from the Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique, in Penarth, Wales, United Kingdom. This stunning handmade piece took nine months to make and flew from London to Sydney with one of my beautiful bridesmaids in February 2023, for my wedding in April 2023.

I truly love this dress and I hope it brings someone else as much joy as it gave me. I think it is really special to wear something so different and unique on your wedding day.

The description from the website is as follows:

"Paris features lovely romantic floral embroidered tulle lace with light sage green leaf, stem and blush flower cup patterns covering the entire gown! The silhouette is striking, highlighting the waist with a semi structured bodice and a fuller flowing skirt with the satin slip layer the embroidery lace and an extra layer of soft cotton tulle for a lovely billowy movement. In contrast the bodice is a neat tailored for with a feminine square neckline finished with a French Chantilly laced scalloped edge. The same lace is used across the waistline and on the wrists to bring in the oversized curved sleeves. There is a beautiful series of pearl buttons down the centre back completing a already feminine design."

The tulle outer layer has some small holes from twigs/leaves getting caught throughout the day, however these are not noticeable given the floral embroidery covers the whole gown.

The dress has been cleaned beautifully and is boxed up ready to go.

Alterations

Straps shortened slightly, bust taken in an inch at zipper on back, and dress hemmed slightly. Bust alterations can easily be altered back to original size (this was done purposefully for re-sale). Dress would fit a size 12 - 14.
