The Dress

Stunning Vera Wang “Katherine” dress from the Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Worn twice for my wedding in Sydney and Paris last year. This dress was directly purchased from Vera Wang store in Sydney during sample sale. Even though the retail price was close to $10,000, I bought this dress for $6500 .. hence the low resale price :)

The dress is a US size 8. It has been altered down slightly. I’d say it is now about AU size 10 - which is my usual dress size. The bust has been taken in a few cm’s and length was shortened.

Despite the alterations, this dress could still be returned to its original length & size thanks to the tailor who attended to me.

As part of the sale, I will also include 2 sashes which I purchased separately from the Vera Wang store :

- a beautiful big flower horsehair sash which retails around $1100 (see picture); as well as a crystal horsehair sash .

Well, at that time I couldn't decide between the two so I bought both of them!

I am adding my body measurements to hopefully give you a better idea in terms of sizing. 167cm's tall, 60 kg. I am a 34B and wearing a 29" jeans. My heels were 4" tall on that day .

Every bride is dreaming of a Vera Wang. Since the first time I saw this gown from the magazine, I knew this would be the one I would be wearing to my wedding one day.
