The Dress

I absolutely love this dress, but know it will be better off in a new home rather than in my storage unit. This is the Centaurea gown from Carol Hannah that was worn once in September 2022 (https://www.carol-hannah.com/centaurea). The gown is a seamed cloque ballgown with a dropped waist - woven for Carol Hannah in Italy.

The bodice is structured and boned, with a zipper hidden underneath the buttons - I did not need to wear any undergarments. It was also light enough that I felt comfortable wearing it to dance the entire time during the reception. All bustle ties (french-style) are still underneath the dress, though some may have to be repaired or strengthened. I included a few pictures of the dress bustled.

I had a custom cape made by Carol Hannah in incredibly soft natural white Italian tulle. It clasps in the front around my neck (with a matching button to the ones found on the back of the dress) and drapes over my shoulder and falls into a soft cowl around my lower back, and is light and thin. There should be enough material if you want to convert it into a veil. I will include the cape for free (retail was $1200)

Both the dress and cape have been fully cleaned by a professional wedding dress cleaner and are in near-new condition - all stains that I can see have been removed. I have pictures of the dress after it was dropped off by the cleaner. It is currently wrapped in plastic and stored in 2 garment bags.

Alterations

The train was trimmed to be 18" shorter than the original design (just to be more proportional to my height), but it is still dramatic and beautiful (same shape as well - angular/square, not round).
