The Dress

Genuine Stella York Dress 6353CR, featuring an embroidered lace bateau illusion neckline, long lace sleeves and a lace-detailed back.

As soon as I put this dress on, I felt like a million dollars and I must have tried about 25 dresses on! It's so elegant and so pretty, and I love how it's sexy and seductive, but also leaves something to the imagination. Everyone commented how stunning it was on the day, and I felt it!

The hand-sewn embroidery and gem work on the dress is just divine, and if like me, you're not a fan of showing your arms, this dress is perfect for you as it has gorgeous lace sheer arms.

The label says UK12, but I had it adjusted to fit me which is more like a size 10/ big size 8. I am typically a size 34A bust and this dress was definitely too big for me in the bust, I had to wear silicone fillets to fill it. It would fit a B/C I'd say. I also had the long train taken off so that I could dance and go to the loo in it easily. It felt more modern and elegant that way too.

As you can see from the rest of the pictures and the video I took, there is obvious staining on the dress caused by dirt from dancing and walking around without any shoes on, and from someone spilling a drink on me while I was dancing.
I totally forgot about this and put the dress away, and it's been stored away ever since in a bridal bag. I only discovered it when I was clearing out the loft and decided I would sell it on.

I spoke to a wedding dress dry cleaner and they said there's an 80% chance the stains will come out if you take it to a good wedding dress dry cleaner but it may not all come out where there's significant dirt on the bottom.

I don't have the funds myself to try it out hence why I am selling it on at a fraction of the price to reflect that you would be taking a gamble on this dress. Wedding dress cleaning costs about £75-£100.

I originally paid £1500 for this dress so if it does work, you'd be getting a fantastic bargain.

Alterations

Dress was altered at the waist to make it smaller, and there was originally a long train on the dress but I had that taken off so that it was easier to dance in. Now it's fitted to the silhouette and has more of a great Gatsby feel to it. It's very elegant.
