The Dress

Oscar de la Renta - Spring 2021 - Look 3

This beautiful gown is a work of art. Each flower petal is mounded in shapes by artisans to give it a natural look. I found this dress to be extremely flattering as well as comfortable, and received so many compliments. I'm sad to let this go, but hope that you will feel as beautiful in it as I did! I only wore this dress for a few hours (I had 2 additional dress changes on our wedding day).

Street size US 8 (I was somewhere between US 6 and US 8 for our wedding).

I had it tailored:
- I am 5'7" and wore 3" heels
- This dress comes lined, and I asked my tailor to add some light bra lining (and I had the option to wear BOOMBA Demi Boost Inserts if I wanted to -- I'm usually a 36B)
- My tailor also brought in the fabric below the bum area ever so slightly (a tiny bit more trumpet shaped than A-line) because we found that that looked more flattering (slimming and grand)
- Unlike on their website photos, this dress had fewer flowers on the back in person (the same is true when you try on a sample), so I customized with Oscar de la Renta for a few extra handmade flowers on the back strap, which cost an additional ~$1,250. FYI that the flower strap on the back is detachable, and there are two sets of button holes, so you can wear it higher or lower on your back. I have larger arms and wanted to wear it higher, but if can be slightly lower than in my photos (both because I have larger arms and because there is a 'looser' set of button holes available)
