The Dress
Jenny Packham’s Parma gown is an exquisite empire waisted art nouveau silk gown. Parma’s beautiful beaded overlay is based on a dragon fly and is the sister gown to Papillon that was inspired by a butterfly. If you are looking for timeless glamour and comfort in your wedding gown, then this is the perfect dress for you. The gown shimmers in sunlight and candle light giving an ethereal and magical quality to the bridal look. The layer that touches your skin is silk which makes the dress extremely comfortable to wear all day.
Alterations
Please note this dress was modified from
It’s original longer sleeve design to cap sleeves (seen in photographs). There were minimal alteration elsewhere. I am 165cm and wore 11.5cm heels (Jimmy Choo lance heel). The dress was sent to New York City for cleaning and preservation by JC Scheer, who are experts in this field with couture gowns. This company was recommended by the Jenny Packham team when I reached out to them to ensure I sent the gown somewhere it wouldn’t be ruined during the cleaning process.
