The Dress

Elysee Delancey gown. Fabric feels like heavy silk, but is actually listed on the designer's website as mikado. Dress is very classic and almost feels Hollywood glamour at times. I got a lot of compliments that it was "timeless" and not trendy. The dress has a slit that is not very high and was not obvious unless I pulled the dress to the side. The dress zips up, but has decorative buttons down the back that also received a lot of compliments. Dress has been professionally cleaned after wedding.

Alterations

I am 5' 5'' and wore flats for the wedding. The dress torso was altered to make the waist a bit smaller, and the boning in the corset was reinforced, both to ensure the dress did not sag during the night. There is a beautiful train which made me feel like a princess. I did not cut or alter the train length. I added a "double french" style bustle. Once bustled it was very manageable all through the night. One of the photos is of the bustle when I was dancing and I got many compliments on how beautiful it was. The bustle when not done up is not obvious and does not need to be used or could be redone by a seamstress to something else.
