The Dress

This is a stunning spring 2015 Oscar de la Renta strapless wedding gown, with a statement back -- a beautiful train of cascading fabric that starts at the top of the dress and trickles down extending over the floor in what are majestic ruffles/waved fabric.

The dress is made of luxurious matte silk (with a touch of sheen). It is strapless and has a comfortable elastic bodice that holds you in all the right places, giving you a great figure.

What I love about this dress is how it's so romantic and feminine, but the structured bodice and pleats give it a modern take on the fairytale dress. It was so easy to move around in, and what i loved is that when the dress is bustled, you don't lose the effect of the train or of the cascading drape (they just "shorten" what falls on the floor from the inside) -- making it an incredible transition from "aisle" gown to how you can live in it when you're ready to party.

From an article in WWD speaking to this collection they mentioned: "Oscar de la Renta took an elegant and timeless route with his bridal runway show. 'The idea is always to make that girl feel very special.' " and I felt so special in this dress. Everyone kept complimenting what a unique dress it was, and how they've never seen anything like it.

I am 5"1 and wore 4" heels (so the dress' length was designed for 5'5").

This dress is in absolute flawless condition to the public eye. I obviously did wear it on my wedding day so it's not "brand new", but I immediately took it to get professionally dry-cleaned and they did an outstanding job at cleaning the dress. The only reason why I am marking it as "good" and not "excellent" is because there are 2 minor snags and faint faint marks on the interior lining, all of which are invisible to the "public" eye and hidden once the dress is on, but wanted to be honest about those for there to be no surprises when you receive the dress. There is also one tiny mark on the dress, but it is so so buried and small inside of the train of the dress, that it is also invisible to the "public" eye once worn (to be honest, I didn't even notice the mark until I was thoroughly inspecting it for this listing).

There are no visible dirt marks or snags or marks anywhere on the outside of the dress :)

I am selling this dress because I am never going to use it again, and I hope it can find a new home, since it is so breathtakingly stunning. I want someone else to feel as special as I did in it.
