The Dress

Beautiful Jesus Piero ball gown dress with Antoinetta petticoat to go underneath. The train was made to be Cathedral length and had a bustle for later on. Iconic is Jesus Piero dress, featuring a sharp, high collared neckline, nipped in waist and buttoned back for a chic, classic look. There is a belt in the bag (which I opted not to wear, so is brand new) and the petticoat comes with boning which can be inserted if it’s still not full enough for you! The dress was made to measure according to the measurements above (also nape to waist is 43.5cm), however, I was 5 months pregnant by the time we got married so it does look a little tighter than it otherwise would have. The photos taken of the back are recent photos (after the baby) to give a better idea of how the back lies. There is a zip up the back and the buttons go over the top all the way up. As I was pregnant, I was also sober at the wedding (!) so there were no disasters involving booze or damage; consequently it has come back from the dry cleaners absolutely immaculate (as far as I can see). During the fitting process, the waist line was lifted slightly, to allow for my bump. As you can see, the dress still fits beautifully now as it did for the wedding. The length is on the long side so will work well if you have higher shoes (I am 5’10 and wore about 7cm heels), or could be taken shorter. The most expensive alteration I had was to have the waistline lifted - adjusting the length was easy and reasonably priced. The bust inserts are for size E bust; again, these are easy to change (and indeed were changed every time I went back for a fitting and discovered I was increasingly pregnant!).
Included with the dress is the Cathedral length veil (pictured); a very simple net veil with satin trim. Again, no disasters with this; I only had it on for church and the first few photos at the marquee.
