The Dress

Tried on a sample size 8 that was slightly too small for me, so we ordered a size 10 ignoring that my measurements were bigger - should have ordered a size 12 because the 10 was too small for me. Later was told that sample dresses tend to be stretched out.
This dress is brand new in the color ivory and almond - never worn besides trying it on when I received it. I held onto it hoping I could lose the extra 2 inches on my waist, but that didn't happen. The hemline was made to my height with 2in heels - done by the dress maker.
