The Dress
This dress is a classic lace and satin, A-line with a scalloped neckline. It was perfect for our wedding in downtown Charleston, SC. It is ivory rather than white, which was good for me because I tend to be pale, but would be a flattering color on anyone. I wore a blue sash with it to go with my husband's suit and matron of honor's dress, which I will gladly send along, but Alfred Angelo has a wide variety of colors if you would want to choose something different and give it your own flare.
The only alteration done was adding a bustle to bring up the train for a night of dancing. This dress has a corset back, so it needed no alteration in the top, corset backs are very forgiving! I had it professionally dry cleaned, hand pressed and preserved in a museum quality archival box.
