The Dress

I purchased this beautiful Pronovias dress July 2022 in a sweet, wedding boutique in Southern California. I married my high school sweetheart on September 30th 2022.

I carefully slipped on this striking dress from Pronovias and just knew... I hadn't even seen my reflection in the mirror. In fact, after trying on about 5 other dresses, this was the last one I tried on; when I came out of the dressing room everyone in my family (who were there for the try-ons) stood up. Confirming what I already knew.

Upon viewing myself in the mirror, I admired the subtle color of off-white almost cream tone to the dress and it complimented my fair olive skin. The detail in the lace was outstanding, perfect. The dress had many layers to it, I believe it is 6 layers including lace and tulle. The back detail with the buttons, chapel train and more lace, tulle and the sweetheart neckline just finished it all off this dress. I had a bustle created (to save the train) by the lovely boutique shop where I bought my dress.

I'm a short woman, apple-shaped (this can sometimes feel like a challenge to me).
The dress was super flattering. I felt comfortable and knew I'd feel great in it during my wedding day.
I wore it for a total of about 4 hours.

During our wedding day, I felt elegant, sexy, fun, confident and beautiful. I had such a wonderful time and received so many compliments on this dress.

After the wedding day, I took the dress in and had it professionally cleaned and boxed/sealed up.

Alterations

A bustle was created to save the train, as I did not use the train but wanted to keep it intact.
The dress was taken up as I am 5'2" and I wore 2.5" heels with the dress.
The size stated on my receipt says 42/10 EU.
