The Dress

This beautiful, Pronovias dress was also purchased at Pronovias' Madison Avenue, flagship store in New York City for a retail price of $10,000. It was love at first sight on me by my bridesmaids and the boutique staff. It is a sweetheart, strapless, lace dress with opaque, fitted underlay. It has a vintage feel while being constructed modernly and is a modern dress at the same time. The dress moved with my body seamlessly so I was able to visit with guests and dance effortlessly, but it was very refined and sophisticated at the same time.

At no point during my wedding did I want to have "second dress" casual feel, and in fact, I had originally planned to have this dress as my first dress. It is bold and beautiful enough to carry a whole wedding or to be slipped into later on in the day should you wish to not have to think of a carrying around a heavy dress. This dress was worn for only a total of 3 hours only. This dress and I were also featured in Manhattan Bride magazine.

The dress was professionally restored by Madame Paulette cleaners, who are world renowned for the restoration quality. The owner of Madame Paulette, John Mahdessian, is a personal friend of ours and he and his company have been featured on this past season of the Real House Wives of New York. Madame Paulette has restored dresses of Princess Diana's to museum quality, and is also the "go-to" dry cleaners for Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue, Cyndi Lauper, Jay-Z, Mayor Bloomberg and on and on. I make this point as I spent over $1000 to have both of my dresses cleaned and be able to deliver them to the next bride in perfect to almost flawless quality. The dress has never been removed from the box since being cleaned.

It is with heavy heart that I part with this dress, but I do live in NYC no longer need the box in my apartment, and moreover, it is time that I pay it forward and allow a bride to elicit as much pride and joy as I did on my wedding day by wearing the perfect confection.
