The Dress

Y2K vintage! Authentic Pronovias 'Musica' wedding dress from a millennium wedding. 100% silk with chiffon overlay and beading. Bateau/boat neckline with beading. Vertical beading on front and back of bodice creates a slimming and lengthening effect. This gown is perfect for a petite bride! Worn for a winter wedding, the bright white and beading call to mind sparkling icicles and fresh morning snow. Beading is in excellent condition. Sweep train that can be tied into a French bustle at calf level.
Notes for full disclosure:
- Small stain on front of bodice from our delicious reception dinner. Roasted pepper cream sauce? Champagne? It's teeny-tiny, I did not notice it until I started taking pictures. It is evidence of the joie de vivre I felt on my wedding day!
- Measurements given in this listing are approximations of my measurements from the year 2000, when I last wore the dress, as the dress was tailored to that body
- I am 5'2" and weighed 120 lbs when I last wore the dress and it fit perfectly and was very comfortable. I am now 130 lbs, when these photos were taken. I was still able to zip it up at 130 lbs but it was tight in the ribs and shoulders (straps dug in). Sharing my height/weight to give you an idea of fit.
- There is some creasing on the train in the photos from it being bustled in storage. This should come out easily with steaming. The last photo shows the train bustled. I loved how subtle and demure this little low bustle was! And so easy to dance in.

BONUS! I will throw in a pair of Enzo Angiolini size 6.5(US) bridal shoes with purchase. They are pumps with a little kitten heel, white silk with some white embroidery and fake diamond/crystal accents. A little stained from our photo shoot in the snowy grass, and from dancing all night at our reception, but otherwise in great condition. They are yours FREE with the purchase, to do with as you wish: wear them, sell them on eBay or Poshmark, turn 'em into a planter... whatever makes you happy.

I will also include the underskirt/slip that I wore. It is lightweight and gave the skirt a bit more structure without being "poofy." I am not wearing the underskirt in the photos.

Dress will ship in a muslin preservation box with archival tissue paper layered in for protection.

I felt so beautiful in this dress and it was so comfortable on my wedding day. The silk puts it on the heavy side (but the silk and the weight kept me cozy for our winter wedding). Even with the weight it was comfortable to move in, dance in, and be myself in. It is in great condition and such a classic, elegant, simple design.

Alterations

Hemmed / Train shortened into a sweep train. French bustle added. All original tailoring notes will be included. French bustle attaches with numbered ribbons to make it easy for your bridesmaids to tie it up for the reception.
