The Dress

I bought this dress from Browns Bride in London in 2022, it’s an exceptional piece and was hand made by the designer Dana Harel. The model is the ‘Liz’ and you can still see this on their website. The dress also comes in the designer bag and hanger.

The dress has a fitted bodice, with amazing intricate detail- subtle beading and exquisite hand sewn floral embellishments. The quality is really high end - giving a little statement without being over the top.

The back is one of my favourite elements with a classy organza sheer panel that clips.

The ethereal layers of the bottom are so light and the shape is very flattering. I had the dress lined (also at browns bride) but you could get the extra layers removed if you prefer this. There is a train behind the dress and bustle attached so you can button up the train after the ceremony.

It’s the perfect dress to take you from day to night! It’s such a wow factor aisle dress but actually also perfect for the evening because of the bodice detail and how light it is to wear and dance in.

I had the dress professionally cleaned by a specialist wedding dress cleaning company. It came back with some very tiny marks right at the bottom of one of the layers of the organza skirt that they couldn’t get out. If you were cutting the dress shorter they would go as they are right in the bottom inch. They are so small you can’t really see them unless you inspect closely and they don’t show up in pictures. The measurements used to make the dress at browns bride were;

Bust- 84.5cm
Waist- 67cm
Hips -99cm

For more guidance- I am ordinarily a size 8 top and up to size 10 bottom, bra size - 34b. I am 5ft4 and wore 4inch heels (medium heel height).

I also bought a simple white sheer veil from browns bride that they made in store, it has a hair slide attachment and is the right length exactly for the train of the dress. I paid £300 for this and it’s in perfect condition, happy to include this for £100 extra.
