The Dress

When shopping for my wedding dress, I had a hard time picking between the fit-and-flare and a ballgown princess look. I did not want to buy 2 dresses. One day, I heard the idea of doing an "overskirt", fell in love with it, and had this one made. It is a simple stunner with just enough poof to make it a fun princess look.

This overskirt, along with a veil, was a perfect way to kick it up my look a notch for the ceremony. The overskirt has pockets, which was helpful for holding my vows. It also made a wonderful addition to the family formals, which we captured before the ceremony and afterward during cocktail hour. I changed out of the skirt just before intros at the reception with my reception look right underneath.

Embellishments: pockets, Faux buttons down the back of the skirt

Alterations: taken in slightly at the waist, slightly hemmed
