The Dress

Dress of my dreams.

This is a custom made George Wu dress, that I wore in late 2022.

It features a fitted dress with a detachable over skirt from the hips with an incredible train. The entire dress was made from Italian tule with a slightly warmer under tone to avoid a stark white look and to let the beading shine. The beading was also hand beaded in Italy with silk petals, glass beads and pearls. This was all then hand sewn into the dress. This dress in incredible in the light as the glade beads shine and glitter.

The underbody dress is completely seamless and has incredible corsetry under the dress. Our aim when making the dress was to accentuate a more curvy shape, with a cinched waist and added hip pads for a curvier bottom. These can also be removed. The dress features boning down to the hips to avoid bulging and any digging in and an inbuilt bra. There is a significant let plot in the dress that when added broke up the fabric and made it so easy to move in. There is a deep V in the centre with an invisible mesh for support. The back also features a low V.

The detachable skirt has also been beaded, it attaches to the main dress with invisible hooks that are very easy to attach and remove. It has an extensive train and added structural support to give a ball gown look from he back and keeps the fabric positioned perfectly when moving.

This was made to fit a small size 6. I am a B cup bra but I wore extra cups so this would also suit a C cup. There are options for changing the length of the dress and it may be possible to take in.

This was dry cleaned within days of the wedding at Toleman's in Brisbane. All marks have been removed and there are no signs of wear.

I have honestly never felt like a dress made me feel beautiful until I had this. It accentuates the most beautiful aspects of the female body and the fabric is just such a stand out. This is such a regretful sale however I want someone else to experience the pure magic of this dress as I have, rather than wasting away in a wardrobe.
