The Dress
I loved this dress. It is sophisticated and elegant. I purchased it in an 8/8/12 (bust/waist/hips) and then had it altered so it fit perfectly. I also had the train shortened by ~12 inches. There is still a train…but not as long as in the original. It is a silk crepe MATTE.
There are two small spots on the bottom of the dress at the back. I’ve included a picture so that you can see they are very small and only visible if you look closely.
Alterations
It’s fitted in the bodice (I’m a 34B/C) and it was altered to ensure it lay flat. I also had it taken in at the hips as I didn’t need the 12 but wanted to make sure it didn’t fit too snugly.
I added a jewelled belt (front only) which you can see in the pictures. It is attached but could be removed if desired.
