The Dress
I've held on to this dress for nearly twenty years because I loved it so much and just couldn't bring myself to part with it. I've always been a little thicker around the waist and I think this dress hid that pretty well.
It was professionally cleaned soon after the wedding and has been in a box ever since. It's been moved around a bit so it's wrinkled and would need a pressing for sure.
Fabric has wonderful weight to it, not too heavy, not too light. Bodice has a stiffness and well warn without a bra.
**NOTE: Measurements are guesses as it was worn in 2005 and it definitely no longer fits. I was a pretty standard size 14 at the time and only had one alteration which was to have the straps taken up a little at the shoulder to shorten the bodice--maybe an inch or so.
