The Dress

Brie, is a minimalist's dream. The gown boasts a split in the skirt, but a stunning long-sleeve overlay bodice draped in delicate georgette finished off with long sleeve, luxe cuff and elegant hand-sewn covered buttons.

I purchased this beautiful Brie dress in March 2020, however due to a few delays, didn't actually take the dress home from KWH until September 2022, a few weeks before my wedding. It is a dress that lasted the years and was still the exact dress I wanted to wear so long after choosing it which was amazing. It has been altered from a standard 10, to my measurements above by the Karen Willis Team for $750.

This dress remains part of the current Karen Willis Holmes season as it is absolutely timeless and stunning. It was so comfortable on the night, with a great bustle to dance the night away. It was so easy to eat, drink and dance all night!

I am 168cm and wore 5cm heels on the night.

I got married in WA, and returned to Sydney the next day and took it to a dry cleaner in Rose Bay, Sydney, known for its wedding dress gown dry cleaning. It was cleaned expertly and multiple times, providing an impressive result, washing away evidence of the dancing. I can send photos of the bottom of the dress if required. I did not drink red wine or have any other marks, only the base of the dress. For someone shorter than me, it would be ideal as hemming to an appropriate length would take away the minor, light marks that remain at the very bottom of the dress.

It has been boxed by the dry cleaners, with acid-free tissue paper, in a wedding dress box.

Alterations

Bust, waist and cuffs were brought in and hips let out slightly.
