The Dress

I bought the Luca dress off of the Classics collection in April of 2019 and was ready on January 2020. My wedding date was May 2020 and of course that did not happen. My dress was perfectly stored until my wedding date on May 23, 2022 when I finally wore the dress. I had it professionally altered by The Alterations Specialist in West Chelsea Manhattan and Professionally Dry Cleaned at Bridgestone Cleaners in Brooklyn (top wedding dress cleaners!)

This is the perfect dress for a spring or summer wedding. It was the most comfortable dress and I wore it all day and night. The train is the perfect length for someone who wants one, but also that isn't overpowering. The full dress (including slip) cost $3,175 (before tax). This dress is really two dresses in one as there is a beautiful silk slip dress and then the delicate lace overlay. This dress cannot go bigger but can definitely be altered to be smaller. It is very form fitting and fits beautifully on the body. I wore no bra (just pasties) and you could not tell.

I also bought a veil from Sara Gabriel called 'Paulette Veil' that matched perfectly with the dress and floor length (as seen is some of the photos above). From the website it is described as: "This delicate veil in a sweep shape with a 4" wide metal comb" that cost $375 (before tax). I had this dry cleaned and throwing this veil in for free!

I am 5'7 without shoes and wore 3.5 inch heels from Loeffler Randall I had the dress altered at The Alterations Specialist in Chelsea, Manhattan to shorten the length. I also had them add a bustle to the dress so I could pick up the train. No alterations were done to anything else to the dress. Length + bustle addition was $597. I weigh 130 lbs. and a B cup.

I had the wedding dress and veil both professionally dry cleaned and it looks just like new. No beads are missing and no signs of wear. Total cost of cleaning $400.
