The Dress

This dress is truly one of a kind, all the appeal of BERTA sings true in this gown: flirty, form-fitting, delicate beading of Swarovski crystal and pearls. It is modern and sensual but also has a classic an timeless appeal with the chosen materials. The beading appears like it is dripping down your body. The skirt and bodice are lined with small cups hidden behind the lining of the top. Yo are sure to have a jaw-dropping reaction from your partner in this gown!

Condition: very minimal flaws or blemishes. The gown was worn to a micro-wedding (total 27 people) in spring of 2021 (COVID restrictions). There was no dance floor so no rips, spills, or damages to the structure. The dress was worn for ~6 hours and has been safely stored since. Only minor blemishes include some beading sporadically missing from the train and hemline. Overall she’s very ready to make another bride feel their best!

My sizing: I am usually a 4-6 in standard dress sizing depending on the designer. Please note the tag on the inside indicates the sizing is a Berta 40, which required minimal alterations for me. I wore 4-inch heels and am 5’5” but didn’t want my shoes visible at all. Therefore there is still a slight give on the overlay of ~.25 inches. My chest size is 34B, and I usually wear a 27 in jeans, but 28 in Levis. The butt area had some extra room to give as I have an athletic body type and the heavy beading on the dress afforded no gaping. The back belt on the dress has a few adjustable options, I wore it on the tightest hook, but depending on your waist/chest you have options. Small tear on delicate fabric near bustle ~2cm wide, no integrity issues

Alterations

Alterations: the only alterations were made to the hem, shoulders were slightly shortened, small cups added, and a discrete button was added to bustle. The bustle button is slightly above the knee-line and creates a beautiful effect true to the mermaid-style.
