The Dress

Prea James Mira Gown in size US5 (check the Prea James sizing chart here: https://preajames.com.au/sizing-guide-1)

This dress would easily fit anyone from a size US0-6, the most crucial measurement to determine suitability is the waist measurement.

Originally bought from Loversland in Toronto, Ontario, the only Canadian retailer of Prea James bridal (Australian designer), and lightly worn on a sunny day in September 2022. I changed into a different dress later in the evening.

The dress is pure matte silk with a heavy silk satin lining, the modern silhouette features a slight scoop bodice with a bias cut cowl drape over the bust. The wider straps are ultra modern and comfortable.

While the Mira gown features a cowl neck design, it also has a waist seam, which gives a more flattering shape for different body sizes.

The skirt has a side split and added flare at the hem that gives beautiful movement.

The back is slightly lowered and so quite open, but high enough that there is still some support.

• Professionally dry cleaned by Laura's Fine Dry Cleaning in Langley, BC who specialize in in-house wedding dress cleaning. The dress is SPOTLESS and in like new condition with no stains or damage.

Alterations

Added an under bustle that easily bustles the train by tying a bow under the skirt (see photo 6).
Slightly shortened straps and front hem.
Minor adjustments to the bust and hip that could easily be let back out to a true size 5US as per the Prea James sizing chart.
