This is a very special two-piece vintage Maggie Sottero gown. The most special thing about it is that it’s two pieces: The bottom is a gorgeous organza skirt with train that bustles to reception lengths. The top is a corset with an unforgettable lace-up back and crystal detail.
Our wedding was on a white sand beach and it worked perfectly for that venue. But it would look lovely in a church, garden, or hall as well.
The gown was professionally cleaned and preserved in 2002 (see picture in box) and then only recently opened when I decided to pass it on. For this reason, it is still bright and brilliant like the day I wore it. I will ship it to you in this box.
Please note: The skirt will need to be professionally pressed, since it was boxed. But you knew that already :)
Also: The dress came with a matching purse that I am including (see also: boxed photo). It’s very matchy-matchy in the style of that era but maybe you’ll like it 🤷🏻♀️. It has a small mark on one side that should come out.
This was worn just once, on a very happy day, in a very beautiful place. I hope it can bring joy to another deserving bride.
The skirt dress was tailored to fit my measurements but keep in mind that the top is a corset so it can fit anyone - From fitting to fitting my weight fluctuated so the waist was extended using an extra piece of original fabric but then it was altered back so this means it can fit a range of probably 26-28 in waist. The height was cut for someone about 5’4” in heels.
