The Dress

This dress made me feel like me! I loved how unique the open eyelets of the lace were on it as I hadn't seen it anywhere else before! The gorgeous train was my favorite part and I am a little sad we didn't show it off more in the photos. However, dancing with a long train isn't practical, and thankfully the bustle of the dress is super easy to do (I learned this is a must after being a bridesmaid in many weddings ;) ). I wasn't planning to have a strapless dress, but I loved how this dress fit like a glove and the built-in bra and corset boning helped keep it up for the whole day, even through some major dance sessions as any good wedding dress should! I love this dress so much and I am excited to see it go to a new home where it will make you feel elegant and classy.

Some things to note: the dress is heavy as it is all lace and has a longer train, so be aware of this on your big day. We had a winter wedding, and surprisingly my dress kept me warm (aside from my shoulders) as it has a triple lining underneath the lace. This dress is so versatile no matter the season you are getting married! The buttons are beautiful but they take a bit to button up and definitely not something you can do alone. I suggest bringing a knitting or crochet hook with you and it will make it so much easier to button up!

The dress has been dry cleaned and restored to like new. I have had it stored in a special garment bag since receiving it back from the cleaners.

Alterations

The dress was adjusted to fit me in the waist as I have a longer torso. It was originally unhemmed as I needed alterations to fit my height, especially since I wore flats for my wedding. The seamstress made the waist hit me just right and she also made the back zipper and buttons custom to go lower on my back as you can see in photos. I hope this dress fits you as well as it did me, but if you need alterations, it is 100% worth it to have the most comfort for your big day!
