The Dress

This tulle dress with a beaded bodice was a part of the Pronovias Privee collection in 2018/9. It is an A-line dress with a V-cutout at the front and the back. A mesh modesty panel is included at the bottom of the deep front V. The skirt has two satin and two tulle layers.

I purchased the dress form a wedding salon in Prague, from which it had been rented once before. The salon handled the alteration as described below, as well as professional cleaning after my wedding. Although the dress has been worn twice it has minor/no defects.

Personally, i liked that it was a clean and simple design with the train and bodice elevating it for the occasion. I had small buttons and loops inserted to allow the train to bustle up. Proper fit in the bodice was key for the dress to be very comfortable to wear for the whole day. I really fell in love with it, and hope that it can make another persons's day as special as it did mine - a far better fate than having it sit in my closet.

Alterations

The skirt was cut and hemmed to my height with shoes (5'7'') after the bodice straps were folded by 1.5 cm (so some extra length can be recouped). The top three layers of the train were tacked together in four places to enable the train to bustle using 5 inserted buttons and loops. Bra cups were fitted to my body, tacked into the bodice as pictured (can be removed/adjusted).
