The Dress

This is a custom Galia Lahav Haute Couture gown, modeled after the Commet dress. It is one of a kind, as this dress is not sold in stores. If being compared to the Commet dress, you will see we removed the bat-wing to a more sleek, fitted lace arm. The color is called "milk" since it is not stark white, but not quite ivory either. There is a tiny strap in the back that holds the dress up on the shoulders since the V is pretty deep in the front.

The entire dress is form-fitted, however, there is room to let out in the shoulder area, as well as the waist.

The V neck has a subtle scallop along the edges that continues to the back, which is open as well.

The long sleeves have a zipper near the wrist to make slipping the dress on and off easy.

The lace continues throughout the dress, it is not pieces together.

Overall the dress is very lightweight and breathable in comparison to most wedding gowns. I wore this dress for 2 hours, as I got married in Greece and it was pretty hot on the beach! I had the dress cleaned as soon as I returned home and it looks as if it was never worn.

There is a tiny hole on the elbow, which is fixable, as this happened once during my alternations and they were able to fix. The hole is very tiny (image is you pricked the dress with a pen), so it is hardly noticeable, but I would recommend having it stitched for your big day :)

I'm so in love with this dress, but it almost makes me sadder to think that it will just sit in my closet rather than make another bride feel as beautiful as I did.
