The Dress

This stunning Vera Wang dress is a true fairytale, mermaid-evoking gown. It's strikingly more beautiful in person than any image that can be Googled of the "Henrietta" style, as it has not been additionally lined, as most brides have appeared to do through the bodice, losing all gorgeous lace detail. On top of this, the only designer shot of this Vera dress was oddly only styled with a lace poncho and all of the incredible sweetheart detail was covered up...and just looks quite avant-garde. This is THE dress for a beachy and/or boho bride looking for something non-traditional, yet breathtakingly princess-level.

In terms of wear and tear, this dress was worn for only our 5-hour reception, which was held on a remote island farm, so the inner lining of the dress does have dirt stains at the base that did not come out in dry cleaning. There is absolutely no other damage to the dress and the stains cannot be seen from the exterior. On top of this, the bottom lining could easily be hemmed off for anyone shorter (I'm 5'4.5" and wore 3.5" heels).

Alterations

I had the dress brought up to floor-length in the front with a whisper train. I've also had the thick horsehair ribbon at the bottom removed, so that the skirt lays more whimsically than poofy.
