The Dress

Congratulations.

This stunning Stella York is beaded Ivory Lace and tulle over a Moscato gown.

It is incredible. If you know anything about Stella York dresses, you'll know that the inner corsetry holds you in perfectly. I am full-busted (38D) but did not need a bra on the day as the corsetry and fit of the gown held me in place perfectly. There are no defects to the rouleaux loop fastenings on the back of the dress.

I am tall, at 5ft 10, and with heels on the day, 6ft. Whilst I can squeeze into a 12, it's comfortably a 14 high street size. The dress was ordered in long and altered at the hem to fit (by a professional seamstress) There was a slight alteration to the bust to fit more snugly into the bust area. I had a beautiful rose gold and clear crystal belt added to the front. This can be removed very quickly as it is secured at the sides. It really does add that extra bit of beautiful sparkle to the dress.

As you can see from the images, it moves beautifully and the layers of lace, tulle and linings work beautifully together to create a beautiful colour combination.

I can't tell you how amazing I felt on the day. It was incredibly comfortable to wear (unlike my shoes) and I was gutted to have to take it off at the end of the day.

Despite being sad to sell, I would like the dress to make someone else just as happy as I was in it, rather than just hanging in the wardrobe. It's way too beautiful for that.

Alterations

As stated above, I am tall, at 5ft 10, and with heels on the day, 6ft. The dress has been cleaned and a couple of small heel tears through the tulle have been invisibly mended with the addition of appliqued lace (two small areas) which are entirely invisible now.
If the dress is too long for you, it is a straightforward job for a seamstress to shorten it.
