The Dress

I had an absolutely perfect wedding day in this dress.

I wanted to feel like an Elven princess at my wedding. The tons of floral embroidery, long sleeves, sheer fabric up top, long tulle skirt all made me feel beautiful and ethereal. The unique sleeves really got me, I love how they are flowy but sheer, a combo I didn't see in any other dress while I was shopping.

What was even better was how comfortable I was. The bust area has no structure - there are cups that you can see through the lace, I stuck these to my boobs with boob tape. Once I did that, I felt like I was wearing almost nothing. It was so easy to breathe and move which was very important to me to feel good in my body on my wedding day.

I wore this dress all day - the only flaws that I can see are soiling along the skirt that will come out with a dry-clean, and there is one leaf of embroidery on the right sleeve that has slightly pulled away from the fabric and will need re-stitched.

Alterations

I had the dress brought in a bit at the bust and waist. I had the skirt brought up a bit in the front because I wanted to wear flats (like an Elven princess might).

The closure at the base of the neck has metal hooks added under the buttons provided already in order to add more strength so that you won't have to worry about them popping off.

I also had an over bustle added which was really handy for the reception!
