The Dress

Vivienne Westwood Long Cocotte Ivory Heavy Silk Satin Wedding Dress Bought from the Vivienne Westwood Couture store in New York for $8,810, not including tax. Sizing ($9,600 after tax): - The corset is a standard UK size 8 (equivalent to size S) - I am 5”5 and wore heels with a height of 120mm/4.75 inches. Signs of wear: - This dress has been professionally dry cleaned, however, there are a few marks on the inside / very bottom of the train. -They are only visible on close inspection, and not visible on the outside of the train. Photographs included. Features: - The train can be worn at full length or shortened and draped elegantly. The train has a small hoop on the end, which attaches to a button on the inside of the dress to create a bustle. This was a really useful feature as the train can be pinned up when dancing in the evening! What is included: - Vivienne Westwood Cocotte Dress, in Ivory Silk - Original Vivienne Westwood garment bag - Original Vivienne Westwood hanger - Ivory Bridal Dress Storage Box with acid free tissue paper. - I will also include details of the professional advice I was given on how to store, transport, steam and clean the dress. I can give away the veil I wore as a complimentary gift, which has been dry-washed as well.

Alterations

The length was altered by my height in heels: I am 5”5 and wore heels with a height of 120mm/4.75 inches.
Adjustments: - The corset has been reinforced by a professional tailor to strengthen the stitching. The adjustment is not visible from the outside of the dress. Few stitches have adjusted one side of the sleeves: easy to get it removed and to get back to the original look by tailors.
