The Dress
When I saw this dress on Allison Stokke in Vogue I knew I had to have it for my wedding in Tulum. Instead of having the crepe silk block in the middle (as seen on model), I had the dress made in ALL charmeuse, light ivory silk. I also had the dress lowered in the back 1”. These customizations cost $700.
I also had the dress altered from a designer Size 4. My approximate measurements on my wedding day (5’7” without shoes and 123 lbs) were 32” x 26” x 33”. I wore 3” heels and the dress hit the floor. I had a custom bustle created to tuck in the train while preserving the original design of the dress.
I changed into a party dress after the ceremony and so I only wore the dress for a few hours. I also paid $350 to have it professionally dry cleaned. The dress is in perfect condition and has not been preserved.
