The Dress

Beautiful classic dress, epic kiss by UK famous dress designer Suzanne Neville, not available in Australia, bought in the UK in 2014, worn march 2015 once.
V-neck and very flattering waist. I am usually a size 10-12 on top and 12 on bottom, chest 34DD, body is structured and quite firm. Label says UK 14. I am 165cms and wore 2 inch heels so the dress has been hemmed to that length.
Dress came with layers of Tule underneath sewn in to base of dress, my dressmaker took it out but has left the panel to attach it again if need be. I used a hoop underneath as it kept the dress in better shape and stopped the heavy layers of Tule touching my legs and making them sweat, especially as it was a hot day and dancing in the evening was much easier. I can provide both the hoop and Tule with the dress.
My dressmaker took about an inch off each strap but has left the fabric curled in on the inside should you need to lengthen them. She also did the hem carefully as knew I would be selling it on so that would also be able to be lengthened but I am not sure by how much. She hand stitched in an under bustle for lifting the train in the evening and there are little lilac and pink ribbons with corresponding hoops to fasten them up, these can easily be hand picked out if need be or left in if you would like them.
I had the dress cleaned by a specialist and it came up really well, the cleaning service was $350.
The body is nicely structured and very flattering, The buttons are hard to get done up the back but secure once on! My dressmaker did some extra stitching along the buttons to re-enforce but you can't see this when the dress is done up. My dressmaker also has stitched 2 lines of elastic into the back V to make it sit against your back nicely as the structure of the body and firm fabric made it wing a bit, simple but effective and easily removed also.
Beautiful dress, I'd like to think that selling it on will give someone else as much happiness as it gave me, simply stunning.
