The Dress

This elegant and timeless Tadashi Shoji dress was originally purchased from Nordstrom by its first owner (original retail ~$1000). I purchased this on Stillwhite and it came in excellent, like new condition. It is a size 4 but needed alterations by my local seamstress to have it fit more like a street size 4. I am 5'5" and wore 2.5" wedge heels on my wedding. The dress was stunning, felt heavy and luxurious, and was extremely comfortable for dancing. The dress remains in excellent condition without any stains, rips, tears, or holes in the fabric. The inner skirt bottom hem stitching came undone a little bit in one section but can be easily re-stitched. If you are getting the length adjusted it won't matter anyway. It has been dry cleaned and is stored in its dry cleaning bag, inside another garment bag for extra protection. Our home is smoke free as well.

I loved this dress so much, and its previous owner was so kind and helpful throughout the original purchase. She was thrilled when I showed her the photos of how it turned out. I hope this dress will continue its journey and be loved again!

Alterations

Alterations were done to bring in the bust, waist, hips, and length. The dress was labelled a size 4 but ran slightly large. It now actually fits like a street size 4. Dress has two seamlines running down the back which made the alterations very straightforward for my local seamstress.
