The Dress

This beautiful dress I wore on the most wonderful day of my life is from renowned designer Oleg Cassini, purchased at David's Bridal in 2003. It has been lovingly taken care of, stored very carefully, and has been cleaned by hand along the bottom hem, but not dry cleaned. I would say it is in pristine condition. In the picture above, 5th image, which is from the bridal magazine I found this exquisite gown in, it is described as "embroidered cafe lace jacket with hand beading over elegant satin A-line. Style CT003, Ivory. The beading on the dress and lace jacket has a subtle peach/rose gold tone, it is not silver as it may appear in some of the pictures. We were married in November on a beautiful fall day and it was the PERFECT dress for a fall or winter wedding, ivory satin with peach/rose gold tone gold beading looked beautiful with my coordinating fall wedding colors! I took the lace jacket off once I arrived at our reception to avoid the bottom becoming dirty or ripped. It is a very classy, elegant, but simple dress, the pictures do not do it justice!! I am 5 feet 4 inches and the dress is a size 4, and I normally wear a size 6. It was altered, as it was too long for me, by a professional seamstress who did a fantastic job. Only the dress was altered, not the lace jacket. I would describe the dress as not dragging the floor, but not tea length, it skimmed just a little below my ankles, I never "tripped" over it. The lace jacket of course is longer, sweeps beautifully along the floor, and has a very subtle hook closure below the breast line.
