The Dress

This dress was a dream!!! This was the very first dress I tried on and I fell in love. Because GLL dresses are custom made in Australia and this dress has a bias skirt, the end product I received didn't fit me quite the way it had in the store, so I did have to get it taken in at the hip and waist a little bit. That said, one of the main reasons I chose this dress is because although it’s silk, it’s actually stretchy! As someone who lives in workout clothes, I needed a stretchy, comfy dress to frolic in through the night. The shop did a great job and it ended up fitting me beautifully and was so comfortable the entire day. I love how long the silk train is and that it had a bustle and a finger loop for me to pin up or hold as I chose immediately after the ceremony. The fit of the dress is incredibly flattering, no bra necessary as the bust is snug enough to give plenty of support and lift and the way the skirt sits gives a beautiful hourglass visual. The dress was dry cleaned right after the wedding and is in gorgeous shape!!! I have athletic thighs, shoulders, and arms, and was really grateful that the dress flattered those areas instead of making me feel like I couldn't move. If I could wear this dress again, I would. But I think it's time it gets passed to another bride who can enjoy her just as much as I did! The "Grace" veil is what I wore with the dress and is still in pristine shape, no stains, tears, or wear. The veil is 9.1 ft long, which made this simple dress so elegant and dramatic as I walked down the aisle. I will include the veil and the arm bands!! I did not wear the arm bands. I did wear the veil but it's in pristine condition as well. the veil and arm bands are in a silk drawstring bag and the dress comes double bagged, one of which is water resistant, because the zipper pully on the GLL bag fell off. I will ship the dress in her original Grace Loves Lace Box.

Alterations

The dress was taken in slightly at the waist and hip to fit my form more snugly. The measurements listed above are accurate to the post-alteration measurements.
