The Dress

SELLING CUSTOM AND HANDMADE CAROLINE CASTIGLIANO DRESS, VEIL, SHRUG AND BELT

A beautiful custom made Caroline Castigliano couture wedding gown made in her Knightsbridge atelier. The dress is made from Italian crepe (which is a wonderfully lightweight fabric and was not heavy or painful on the day) and has an inbuilt corset (corset string comes with the dress).
The dress was made to have two looks but of course you could just wear it as one. Firstly, the lace shrug which I wore for the religious ceremony. This is made from beautiful handmade lace and has a keyhole back and works perfectly with the lower back on the dress (see picture above). It is fastened with the same buttons as on the dress itself and I've got a spare button which I would send with the dress. In order to ensure that the lace did not ride up, there are poppers on the dress and the shrug. This meant the lace lay flat at all times and never looked like it was separate.
After the religious ceremony, I took off the lace and added a belt for the party. A belt is needed on this dress to cover the poppers. I am selling the dress with the thicker belt pictured in the atelier, handmade by Caroline Castigliano (I purchased two as couldn't decide which I wanted and am keeping the thinner one). The belt is thick and has silk organza, pearls, crystals and beads. Both are SO beautiful.
So many people told me they loved "both" my dresses, I had to remind them it was just one with excellent accessories!
I am also selling with it, my Caroline Castigiano Cathedral length blusher veil which matches the lace shrug. The lace begins at the finger tips and goes along the whole length of the veil. This makes a really striking look for photos and the ceremony.
All component parts have been dry cleaned and are in excellent condition, I hope that someone gets to enjoy this beautiful dress as much as I did on my special day.
