The Dress

For the chic, sophisticated size 6-8 bride - Leah Da Gloria strapless "Odette" gown with detachable "Delany" overskirt and detachable asymmetric "Gigi Silk Wrap" oversized bow. The 3 pieces come from the Boheme collection.

This gown is a modern take on a classic silhouette and is best suited for a bride who is after a classic, timeless look but with a modern twist. It's a glamorous gown with a flattering silhouette and has a feel of contemporary sophistication - luxurious fabric, full train and dramatic oversized bow detail (pre-stitched by Leah to keep its shape).

The dress fabric is a luxurious Mikado silk, which gives the dress a lot of structure in all the right places. The gown has a flattering bodice and the boning on the gown helps create a really nice hourglass figure. The long, detachable overskirt hooks on securely to the gown via two subtle silk satin buttons and invisible hooks around the waist. There is a very thin custom satin silk belt which which covers the waist seem when you choose to remove the overskirt. The oversized asymmetric bow on the back of the dress, which is also detachable for a bride wanting a more minimalist look, creates an additional wow factor to the dress when coupled with the train.

I opted to wear the detachable skirt for the ceremony and removed during my reception.

The dress is perfect for a size 8 bride and can be altered. I am 159cm tall and wore 10cm heels.

The dress has been carefully dry cleaned with receipt present also. There is minor wearing to the underside of the oversized overskirt which is not visible at all. Otherwise, it’s perfect and ready to go!

Alterations

The dress has been altered at the sides and waist seam as I did lose more weight very close to the date. It would fit someone thats hovering between a size 8 at the top and an 8-10 at the bottom size perfectly.
