The Dress

The KIRA gown is so elegant, fitted to the body, it has a classic boat neckline, a high slit at the front, and a low back - with the silk organza bow creating a stunning feature. This gown is made of matte fabric but the bow is made of silk organza to make an emphasis of it. The bow drapes across the back of the dress, from shoulder to hip, and goes out into a train behind the dress. I have had it altered so that the top of the bow that joins at the shoulder is detachable (via a small hook), if you prefer to have both sides of the bow hanging down, or as an alternative look on the day. Both the train of the dress and the two sides of the bow have bustles, allowing you to have the gown fully off the ground for walking around and dancing. I also had a hand loop added to keep the train off the ground between photos.

I absolutely loved wearing this dress, it was so beautiful and comfortable, I received so many compliments. It is understated and elegant, and the bow gives it a fun edge.

The dress is stunning on its own, but also works with a veil (I wore a light tulle veil with no trim).

The dress is in perfect condition as I changed on the night into a second dress, and also paid for premium specialist dry cleaning ($500).

Alterations

The straps were slightly too long so they were taken up at the shoulders, the hem was adjusted for my height plus heels (168cm plus 8cm heels), and the underarms lowered by 1cm. A small invisible hook was added to the top of the bow to allow for it to be detached from the shoulder if preferred, or for an alternative look. A bustle was added on the inside of the dress for the train, and outside of dress (under bow) for the two ends of the bows. Hand loop also added. I have a small chest (12B) but decided to keep the existing sewn in cups (despite being a tad large for me) as they sat nicely at the front of the dress, so the dress could be adjusted smaller (swap for smaller cups), or fit up to a C/D cup as is.
