The Dress
I bought this dress for my wedding, which was cancelled twice because of Covid, so it has never been worn. It is a beautiful luxe heavy silk, with a polyester crepe lining.
Because of it's simplicity the dress can be really nicely accessorised.
The silk steams beautifully and its feels gorgeous to wear.
Alterations
I had the dress altered to have some of the lining removed e.g. from the sleeves, as it felt too heavy when it was fully lined. The photos show the dress as it is now.
I also had it made with the front layer wrapped over an extra few centimetres for coverage, and with a wider tie fastening. The version you will still see on the Constellation Ame website doesn't have the wide tie fastening, but its clear from the photos here. The waist tie is long enough to be wrapped around and tied either at the front or the back of the dress.
