The Dress
Helen Fontaine 'Jules' dress. Worn January 2021.
Beautiful geometric and floral boho lace overlay with a scalloped hem and subtle train.
Trumpet silhouette with v-neckline and invisible mesh across cleavage and underarms. The low back with zip makes it very easy to get into and out of the dress.
I am 162cm and wore 6cm heeled sandals and the dress was floor length. The dress was made to measure so it is a size 8 bodice and size 10 hips.
The dress has been dry cleaned and has no stains/marks, the only damage is slight pilling of the lace around the hem.
Alterations
The dress originally had single spaghetti straps but I added the crossover straps to stop the straps from falling off the shoulders, these attach by a loop to a button on the inside of the dress.
I also added the belt for a bit of sparkle, it is currently sewn on but could easily be removed.
