The Dress

Brand new Bridget dress from Eddy K - an up and coming Italian designer. The detail on this dress is exquisite and it is just a beautiful dress. I loved it when I saw it, and still do! After I ordered it, I finally realized I really wanted a ball gown. It was tried on once in the store when I picked it up and has been tucked away safely in the garment bag ever since.

A few things I love about the dress - the lace is truly unique. It's a combination of roses, leaves, and flourishes. The open back with buttons all the way down to the base of the train is quite beautiful and elegant. The crepe fabric moves beautifully when you walk. There's also just a hint of sparkle when the appliques hit the light with tiny sequins sewn in strategically throughout. The train also makes quite a statement with lace cutouts and scalloped edges.

The dress has NOT been altered and is a size 10 in bridal sizing. I am 5'7", 34" bust, 25" waist, 38" hips. It fit well in the hips but would have had to have been taken in at the waist and bust to fit me. Important to note that the dress already has cups sewn in by the designer. I am not wearing heels in the photo with the blue mask, so you can see where the length of the dress falls on me. If you needed a hem, it would be easy given where the appliques land on the skirt.
