The Dress

Designed by Truvelle and handmade in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Carrall dress is fitted at the waist and very adjustable in the bust, as it is tied around the neck and back.
The dress skims over the hips. In general, the style is quite relaxed and very comfortable.
Because I am quite tall and was wearing flat shoes, I had an inch of extra length added. However, this could be hemmed.
The dress itself is ivory/off-white but the bodice lining and straps are taupe to add dimension (I love how this made the lace at the bust pop!).
The only alterations I made were the additions of a very subtle bustle and I had cup lining put into the bust. The cups were only superficially sewn in and have since been removed. However, I still have them if anyone would like them included with the dress.
The dress was professionally dry cleaned immediately after the wedding. That said, in the spirit of full transparency, there are some very subtle dirt marks along the back bottom hemline that could not be cleaned out. These marks are visible to the eye but are practically invisible when the dress is worn. If the dress was hemmed they would disappear. I do have some close-up photos of these marks if anyone is interested in seeing exactly what they look like.
Even though I don't have the space to hang onto it, I absolutely loved this dress! It was so comfortable and required very few alterations (which is so wonderful, as brides know how expensive the alterations can get). I also loved that it was handmade in Canada. I do have all the original labels and paperwork if anyone is interested in seeing that as well.
