The Dress

Gorgeous True Bride (True Curves) Della dress TC-W225A - fit & flare silhouette with wonderfully flattering sweetheart neckline and beaded illusion sleeves. This is an art-deco inspired dress for those glamorous yet classic brides wanting to ooze sophistication.

I wore this dress for my wedding in May 2022 and it has been professionally dry cleaned by a specialist wedding dress cleaning company (cost £250), it is packed up in a storage box ready for the next bride to enjoy wearing it on its special day. I have inspected it and I can't see any beads missing or any flaws, but I haven't gone over every single inch of it as there are small beads on the lace flowers on the body of the dress also. It is in excellent condition.

Alterations

This dress was initially purchased as a corset back due to availability and I had it changed to a button back. This means that the dress label is incorrect - please note that this was a bridal 26 but is now a high street 18 (equivalent to bridal 22).

I also had it shortened slightly as I am 5'5" and wore 3 inch heels. A small amount of additional length could be created by moving the lace further down on the base of the dress. I also had alterations on the hips to bring the sizing down to fit. I am a high street 18 top and bottom (most clothes are from Dorothy Perkins for sizing comparisons!)
