The Dress
This gorgeous dress from the Oxford Street collection by Essence of Australia has a subtle sparkly mid-layer which catches in the light. The beautiful sheer bodice has intricate embroidery complimented by delicate beading and the cream lace stands out against the slightly darker ivory lining. This gown has a zip closure beneath fabric-covered buttons and sewn-in cups for support.
I got married in July, so I was looking for in the dress was that it wasn't too heavy or restrictive. This dress is very light and I found it easy to move around and talk to guests and to dance in. I chose not to wear a hoop skirt, but you could wear one underneath if you are looking for a fuller gown.
The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned. As shown in the pictures there are a couple of loose threads around the buttons on the back but this should be a simple and inexpensive fix.
Alterations
The dress was taken in from a UK size 14 to a UK 12, and the length was shortened slightly.
