The Dress

Oscar de la Renta Spring 2022 Look 8 cutout bow motif ball gown. The gown is made with a beautiful lace bow motif and pressed embroidery. The silhouette is extremely flattering and classic, with a cinched waist and sweetheart neckline. The modern pattern of the fabric makes it a showstopper! The gown has a beautiful and simple bustle where the underskirt snaps, and the outer fabric layer buttons with a single button at the low back.

I normally wear between US size two and four. Very few alterations were made to this dress - added cups (2 layers), and added tighter adjustable hooks at the waist to cinch it in, and shortened it. This dress could easily be worn by someone with a slightly larger waist, hip or bust, or it could be taken in further for a smaller size or can be shortened. The hip measurement really doesn’t matter since the gown flares out at the low waist.

The gown was worn mostly indoors on my wedding day and had no stains on the exterior of the gown. There are some dirt marks from the dance floor at the bottom interior of the train. They were not removed by the cleaner. This is not visible while wearing the gown.

My alterations tailor made the tulle shoulder wrap for me. It buttons in the back and the way it sits in line with the back of the dress is just beautiful. The veil is from Oscar de la Renta. Please let me know if you’re interested in either piece.
